If you are fed up with seeing lots of adverts on Talk Angling, the way to get rid of them is REGISTER HERE as a member and then 95% of the adverts on the site will go away!
Ive been fishing a stretch of can al that is really busy with boats. If i used backleads on my carp/feeder rods, would i get away with leaving them in when barges go past. The canal is 3.5 feet deep
Depends where you position your bait and the contours of the bottom,most canals have a ledge on either side, so the line will be in a straight line from you backlead to your rig lead.it could work but i dont think id risk it. Regards Peter.
