youll find that they will all turn together what ever you do dont force them to turn cause they'll end up crap and like long straggly things we used to buy a gallon on monday for to use on saturday around thursday you was up all night cause they used to turn at an alarming rate so if you got them turning get ready by thursday you'll only have a few maggots left

when you buy your maggots to turn to casters
Riddle off all the dust and maize so your bait is clean place it in a large flat container and cover with fresh Damp fine sawdust
after 24 hrs riddle dust and let bait fall through riddle ,this will leave a few skins /dead maggots on riddle
Place maggots back in sawdust dampen it again leave another 24hrs repeat should be odd casters left on riddle place these in either a damp cloth bag inside a plastic bag with all air removed .
Repeat for next 2 to 3 days follow same pattern as the bait gets older it will turn quicker so keep an eye on them
It is important to keep dust damp as this stops the bait shrinking
It is a lot of work to do it properly and remember if you put a Gallon of maggots to turn you will get a maximum of 6pts casters off them.
For small amounts it works out a lot cheaper to buy them from a shop
      good luck
