Looking to go out of my comfort zone & fish the Wye on Wednesday. Do I need a passport? But seriously, is the river carrying extra water &/or rising after the recent rain? Venue is somewhere close to Hereford. I'm thinking barbel & chub so worms, corn & pellet?

this webcam will give you an idea of how high the river is. Its from the White lion pub in Ross.
My guess is that it will be up a few feet we have had a fair drop of rain over the weekend.
Make sure you have some halibut pellets if you are after the barbel. 4mm / 6mm for feed and big as you like for the hook (banded or hair rigged) -

Any trip to the Wye unless your local should always start with a phonecall to Woodys Tackle in Hereford. A most helpful guy you couldnt find and he will always tell you straight.Comment
