    Hello all

This is a very worthy cause to help preserve fish stocks and species. I trust the mods don't mind me posting a link?

I'm in no way condoning fish being discarded, but it's not all the fisherman's fault even though ultimately it's their actions to blame for what's happening.
When someone at the EU decides that it's illegal to land certain species of fish like Cod but impossible to avoid when fishing for other species such as Haddock. I also agree this needs to be sorted out immediately but you know it will drag it's feet slowly for a good few years before anything happens.
It's not waste if it's not thrown away & used!

& who said I didn't sign ? it seems more anglers on our forum are more concerned with Carp on super market counters than the state of our seas.

Call me a clown if you want, I'm really not bothered. My post '"Evil triumphs when good men stand idly by" - if you agree with stopping this 'discard', then sign up. Simples' was put there merely to keep readers on track of the original subject, i.e. that half the fish caught in the North Sea are thrown back dead. It was not directed specifically at you.

Not sure what carp on supermarket shelves has to do with this thread - maybe you could start one about that?

                      Cheers

A very good rebuff slayer or should that be coco.
                        A better excuse was expected.

Are you quite done now? Can we leave the thread for it's original stated purpose?

11 out of 10 for Hugh Fearnley-Chickenstall. About time these celebs used thier status for something other than self promotion, or pointless follys.

FISH FIGHT campaign now has over 25,000 sign-ups which can only be a good thing. Hugh started a 'chicken Out' campaign against battery hens a while back too. Good old boy
