Weird and wonderful angling gadgets

You know how it goes, you go to a fishing show and there are the weird and wonderful angling gadgets that catch your eye... what's the worst of these that you have seen and did you buy one?

One of them that springs to mind that I saw was an automatic catapult thing that attached to your bait table - god only knows how much these chaps had spend developing / patenting and marketing the thing but it never took off.

They are a winder that fits like a stonfo connecter and you tie your rigs to a long line ~& wind any excess line onto winder
after plumbing the depth
There were quite a few using them around here last year
1 of the Daftest ideas i have seen for years
must be someone on here that knows what they are called ??

what about those bait shuttles the ones you pushed to the end of your pole i got given one used it once and it broke top section of my pole chucked in shed somewhere now

Cast holders. My very first question on this site was about them. Every answer I got was to bin them. After I tried them, I concurred.
