Jay - unfortunately that is never going to happen!

I did try and revive the old embassy pairs format with a big prize - but just cannot find a sponsor.

Anyone else miss fishing canals .............

Broken pole sections, I always appreciated joggers and mountain bikers running thro my pole.

Shipping into and stepping on dog sh*t

Boats evey 2 minutes right thro my swim

Car broken into or stolen.. oh the fond memories linger

                  Glad the nightmare is over

About 7 years ago fisho was held on the Bridgewater canal @Warrington. A 100 pegger u needed to draw on 10 pegs max to have any chance of qualifying,

Yep u guessed it these pegs held carp and sure enough the match was won with carp as were the back up weghts. Not a match more of a lottery, dont draw a carp peg might as well go home. Never been held there since.

It would be nice to go back to real venues then everyone would have a chance to get tickets, yes I admit they might not sell out 300 pegs but at least they would get more than 130. It would be a draw bag lottery but isnt it now on the lakes with venue experts getting the right pegs you might as well throw the towel in anyway. I have been a member of the NFA for 5 years and have never got any tickets. It just has to be 6th year lucky. I know I could have turned up at the venues last year and pos got tickets just like Will Raison (fair play) but who on here would take the chance off driving miles, preparing hours of kit and then to be told that they couldnt fish, a complete waste of money and time for people who hold down full time jobs not the lucky full time anglers who could always go fishing the next day or go to a evening match on the way home.

scatty you should come to Brum mate.....my canal anglers have 2 secure car parks 1 locked and 1 with cameras 100 pegs and any one of them can win.Usually double figures to win.5 pegs sections... what can i say...we even put on firework displays to end the matches....celebratory appearances by Mosella and of course i am there to tell everyone how good they are...forgot to add about a dozen boats...A WEEK
