    fished the local pool today and was informed by one of the baillifs that over the last 2 years 5 catfish have been put in by the locals, someone told me last year that they had put one in 17 1/2 Lb. what effect will it have on the pool

        Landlocked means it is surrounded by land ie a hole in the ground with no stream or other water entering it. cheers John

          My local has 7 catfish up to 60+ lbs and it is quite famous for them, the lake is also match booked most weekends and fishes well

            If it is Landlocked then the only problem it would cause is
            It is Possible for 5 Fish of that size to wipe out most of the small fish Stocks !!
            If its Not Landlocked they could end up anywhere & the problem escalates !!
            The idiots that are moving fish around have No idea of the Harm they are doing !!

                you wouldnt believe what fish are being stolen from pools to put in others around here, 90 carp in one week last autumn that were put into a pool that could be described as a rainpuddle which already had a healthy stock of fish up to high 20's, i was not surprised to hear that there were now fish deaths
