Anyone know much about itroducing Ide into a pond, will they breed or is it a waste of time as i am involved with a pond and we are looking for some fish for winter fishing ?
they have a tendancy of disappearing in winter unless u stock thousands of them n when they get to about 2lb they turn predatory u have to keep stocking them to keep em biting
u will only get permission from the ea to stock if the pond is enclosed ie no inlet or outlet same as f1.s they provide exellent sport all year round if u fail with permission try chub they r just as hardy even in the coldest of weather
and on the 7th day god created MANCHESTER CITY and g.o.t.baits
we stocked our pool with 1100 of them about 2-3inches and they seem to be doing well. they grow quickly and are great winter feeders. i think the british record is about 8lbs.
