whats the best elastic for canals gonna get 3,4,5,6,10 but what make and type been away from canals for 8 year.

you'll probably open up right old can of worms on this mate.
Everyone has their own preferences.
I prefer Middy Hi-Viz for my really light elastics (up to size 6), it's got good stretch and lasts a while.
my heavy elastics I use my Steve Maher hollow, the same as i use on my power tops, just in lighter versions.
I've used both for years and they've never let me down.Terminaly bewildered:confused:

Number 2 or 3 for squatt/pinkie fishing (2 for shallower water to stop them splashing), number 5 for caster/big maggot, number 8 for chopped worm, 12 or upwards for carp/chub (I prefer not to use hollows in canals as they stretch too much and fish can find snags before you get control of them).MATRIX
