  • what happens if u exceed maximum casting weight of a rod?

    im after a sof action rod for pike fishin but use fairly heavy lures
    Personal Bests

    Pike-23lb
    Perch-3lb
    Tench-5 1/2lb
    Carp-15lb
    Barbel-10 1/2lb
    Chub 5 1/4lb
    Roach 1 1/2lb
    Rudd 2lb
    Bream 6 1/2lb

    Possibly snap it!
    You certainly wont be able to cast using the maximum efficiency of the rod, so it will be a compromise between casting ability and fish playing with casting ability losing

      cheers i wasnt sure if that was the range in which baits are cast most effectivly or if its just the limit of its capability
