    Hi guys,

Which pole from the series maver competition poles is the best in your opinions?
Or in your opinion which is the best pole produced by Maver or Sensas?

    Thanks,
    Adam

The charm of fishing is that it is the pursuit of what is elusive but obtainable, a perpetual series of occasions for hope.

I had a Maver 481 for 2-3 weeks and didn't rate it so sold it, i have had a play with the Sensas 784 and it is a better pole in my opinion.

      Thanks cartersdad.
Would the sensas pole handle carp up to 10lb?

Any one else have an opinion?

        Hi Adam,

I have the Maver 151 competition and in my opinion this is a cracking pole for the money. I have fished today and caught twenty carp average of 7lb with some 10lbs as well. If you balance the pole well and make sure your elastics are set correctly (tension) then this competition range won't let you down. If these poles are treated with respect that they are intended for then they will not let you down mate. You also have to look at the spares package as well and the follow up from a reputable company.
        Regards Billy Boy :)

Yes mate the Sensas 784 would easily handle carp of 10lbs but most top end poles will, the 784 is £2400 and comes with a great package. Also like has been already said you need to balance your elastics and end tackle, you also need to play fish properly as trying to rush them to the net will result in lost fish and broken pole sections.

i went from a sensas 754 to a maver 401. The maver is infinitely better in my opinion. Had 2 sensas sections break lifting into bites a n04 and the 11.5m section. Took over 8 weeks to get a replacement butt section.

they are just a great pole maker stiff and light but also strong, the biggest mistake i ever made was replacing my old daiwa whisker for my shakespeare superteam no doubt the shakespeare is a great pole but has no where near the strength and quality of the daiwa range
