  • Best rod for Float fishing for Carp/Tench/Barbel?

    Hi There,

Been off the fishing scene for many years and now looking to get back into it - I want some advice on a good float fishing only rod for Carp/Tench/Barbel up to 15lbs plus I dont want a specialist Carp rod and have no interest in ledgering/bait alarms etc - I recently went to a local fishing tackle shop and they recommended a Drennan Tench/Carp specimen rod that looked nice (Grey with black whipping) at around 100.00 - not sure whats a good deal at the moment so any advice would be most welcome.

    Kind Regards

Ive not used the float rod but i own the twin tip and a couple of pals have the tri tip and your getting class rods from nash for very silly money,if you realy want a dedicated float rod then fine but i would look at the twin/tri tips as they offer more versatility.Regards Peter.
