Name that float

Hello, can anyone help.



I've picked up these pole floats in a job lot. All the others were great but I've never seen these pole floats before. I've spent a couple of hours trawling through the most popular online angling stores and no one seems to be selling them.

Can anyone tell me what they're called and how you use them?

I seem to remember these being designed for fishing bottom end only in very shallow water on the whip

they look like trent trotters to me used for fishing in shallow water on the trent with a downstream wind
