    silverfish whip

    hi guys,
can anyone recommend a good silverfish whip for the coming winter months? it doesn't need to be more than 4 or 5 metres, really, and i'd be using it mostly for roach up to half a pound or so.
    any advice appreciated as always
    cheers
    paul.

Paul. That Daiwa connoisseur - x 7MTR system whip on ebay is a class bit of kit... if it goes for under £65 it will be the buy of the season

The ones i have and use all cost about 5/10 euros each and are telescopic. Some i have are elasticated some arnt. Obviously for the money cant be beaten, shop around because even at that price some are miles beter than others also try different ones out from the same series and or make as there can be a difference in weight and action........
Mine have been to ireland and denmark baggin up .......................

Have you had a look at the Fishermans Friend ads in Matchfishing mag? They always seem to have a few for sale. Reasonable prices too. Except the new Daiwa Tourney ones which are an arm and a leg.
I got a new rod for the wife. I'll miss her, but it's a quality rod.

I have 3 daiwa harriers mate that go to 6m. and they really are the dogs. they weigh less than 200g, And can easilly land fish to 1lb. My dad once landed a 4lb thames bream on a harrier, but he was using .10mm bottom, no word of lie. I've had roach/rudd to 1lb and perch to 1lb, on 00.8m bottoms and they never let me down. They usually go for £50-60.

Someone else has recommended the conny/connys that are on ebay, but if you can get that for less than £100, you'll have yourself a bargain mate.
