  • Daiwa spectron mk2

    Guys ,

I have around £1500 to spend on an all round match pole and have seen a daiwa spectron m2 for this price in fosters of bham. I know that the original was a cracking pole and still is but was just wondering if this mk2 is as good.

Has anyone handled one of these and what would you recomend ? I have also seen the new garbolio g20 for a little less than the daiwa.

I`m looking for a good alrounder that is light, stiff and very managble at full length with a decent spares package for £1500. (not second hand).

Just looking for a heads up before going over to fosters and handing over my cash.

your right there kev but the prob I have is for me to get a pole to that value I will have to take interest free option at fosters,, monthly payments limit me to £1500 total spend. So it has to be new for me !

Ive got the M2, was very warey of it at the start, I didnt like the standard number 4 section, its very weak and the pole is floppy with it in, horrible to use at 14.5 + , Put a short 4 in from the airity and it is a completly different pole, I can use it at 16 all day long fishing shallow on commercials, Ive had a tonne on mine, several 80's 70's, 60's etc, I have a seperate carp pole but hardly ever use it as I now have total confidence in the M2

Flog the parrelel 4's as well because they are no good, totally ruin the balence of the pole.
