    can anyone recommend a good hook tyer for spade end hooks?.....my eyes are not good so need an easy one to work.

        If you want a hook and hooklength tyer the buffy one is superb and not that fiddly have a look on nathans
        of derby website there about £40 but worth every penny....... and easy to use i have shovel hands and sausage fingers
        and tying a size 20 spade end is easy...... and any probs useing it you can ring the guy who made it......hope that helps.

          found the stonfo slightly easier to use but tempted to try the electric ones on ebay

            Just ordered a buffy ,hope they are as good as everyone says.The guy that makes them is a member on here.If you get one direct from him they are £40 posted,instead of £40 plus p+p.
            Don't you just love it when your daughter kicks your ass:o
