I have bought 2 used Mitchell 300 spinning reels from a car boot sale. They both look identical but on has a bail arm that c o c k s from 3 o'clock to 9 o'clock (if your looking at it side on that is) and the other c o c k s from 3 o'clock to 11 o'clock. There appears to be nothing wrong with this reel as the latch mechanism looks to be functioning as it was intended. I have seen some Mitchell 300 reels on ebay that have been described as Half Bail, but it doesn't give any clear example of why they are called this. Is the reel that I have that only c o c k s part way a half bail?
