  • match scales

hi all, i'm looking to buy a new set of weigh scales for our club. we are currently using salter digital which have been great in the main, apart from on some days when mixed bags of fish are jumping about in the weigh sling it takes ages to wait for the scales to settle on a definite reading. is there any that any club members can recommend preferably with a lock/hold function on them so we can weigh in a bit quicker.
    cheers martin

Mart I have used salter digital scales they like almost any scale suffer from bounce. The techniques we used with flapping fish was to look for the same reading to appear 3 times, and use that as the weight. A tripod is a must as a minimum.

cheers brian, we do use a tripod, like you say it's a must. i just thought a set with a lock capability would speed things up and take away any indecisions that could be made?
