What didn't you like about Preston?

Ok, it's a bit over dia, but it knots well I find. I have tried a few lines lately, and still go back to Preston.

What sqeeky said - excellent line, knots well and hard wearing in all sizes. I've been using it for years, I have tried loads of others but always gone back to this one.

I tried some g-line in 0.12, rated at about 4lb?

I reckon it's breaking at about 2lb, and that's unknotted!

What's up wi shimano? I like it! Knots slip with preston, gamakatsu gets damaged easily, silstar perfect for mainline, don't like it for hooklengths though, too stiff and i prefer clear coloured line. I use middy low viz on my pole and wag hooklengths.
