  • Junior 3 day festival Partridge lakes 5th 6th 7th August 2014

Junior Match Aid in association with Preston Innovations and Sonubaits would like to announce the biggest Junior Event in the U.K. this year, everyone that has booked on (or books on), will automatically receive a goodie bag containing at least £10 in value.
We are now introducing an age category, which means more prizes. These categories will be Under 12's, Under 15's and Under 18's and if you win the age group, you win some Preston goodies. (If you come 1st, 2nd or 3rd in the overall festival, you are not eligible to win these prizes and as default will go to the next best in the category), so that more people have the opportunity to win more prizes.
There will be new posters made this week, as the actual prize fund has increased to £2,200. * Based on 60 entrants, the pay out is 1st £700, 2nd £400 and 3rd £ 200. There will be section payouts for each day (paid at the end of the festival) - 2 sections on each pool, 10 people in a section. 1st in their section wins £30 and second wins £20. (Again, if you come in 1st, 2nd or 3rd overall, you wont pick up section money and the next person will pick up by what we call (default) again more people picking up money).
Last thing PLEASE be there for 8.30 as at 9am one of the Preston stars will be giving a talk about the venue, giving you the low down on the pools.
This is being advertised in some angling publications and is in the latest Winning Pegs edition.

Please note that NO entry fee's can be taken on the day, so please ensure that you pay 2 weeks before the match.

Cheques will be given out at the end of the festival for all section prizes and overall winners. (Due to law).

Now... people are asking me about the coaching side of things. The stars that are booked on to do the coaching may change, however we have other Preston stars available to take over, but at the moment nothing has changed so fingers crossed.
There will be no charge for the coaching with the stars, but you will need to pre-book your slot. As you know, we are doing it for charity, so a little donation to fish with a star would be great.
You will need to bring your own tackle to the session and they will be held on the Willow pool, using 16 pegs. Preston coaches will be given four people to coach each, on each day so you need to let me know if you want to book on and who you would like to fish with so that I have some idea on the numbers (no guarantee on the coach you want - just incase you all pick the same one). Everyone that books on to the coaching will get a goodie bag too.

On the subject of Charity, our chosen charity is the Fishing Academy and on the day we will have a Club Korum taster session, where all tackle is supplied. Each session will last 20 mins. Fishing Academy will provide level 2 coaches all crb/dbs checked for the Club Korum session. (I will do a story on the Fishing Academy later but they do a great deal to bring people into this sport with no funding at all).

There will be lots more going on throughout the 3 days so what you waiting for...... Get booked on! Whether its the match, or the coaching, as this will be the Biggest event of the year.
