hi, does anybody have any details about any of the lakes at grounds farm. Such as the fish there and what baits, pegs and methods to fish are good.

There are three pools on the site for general fishing, the best of the three is the Paddock pool which is on the left as you drive down the track and covers 50 pegs it has one large central island which is pegged, there are several smaller islands dotted about, the couple of pegs on the pont of the big island are seen as fliers its no problem to pole it to the facing island, depths vary a lot and in summer it used to get vary low, I have always done ok there feeding pellet and caster, fishing caster or maggot over the top picking up whatever swims roach run to 1 lb bream to around 5lb carp 15lb+ then theres crucians rudd golden orfe, change bait are pellets, sweetcorn and meat which I normally fed when the carp moved, a word of warning the rats there were pretty big 3 years back and were not afraid of humans.
The other two pools are further down the track on the right hand side and a good walk from the car park, species are similar but maybe not as prolific but they are pools I have not fished
