Ive fished this place many times and like Charlies Pool. A week back i caught a tench from there on meat, any one got any tips on how to catch them more frequently?

Fished it today mate,no tench and only ever had a few out of there.There isn't many in there,same as the chub,i fished the main lake after the match was finished and had some whoppers though,

the guy on the quad was talking to me and said that there quite a few in there now up to 4lb :S strange.
how big were the ones you caught in main lake?

I've had tench to about 3lb out of Charlies,on the main i had about 5 carp in an hour or so,biggest was about 14lb,averaging 10lb.There had been a match on though beforehand,the fish were everywhere in the margins.
I love tench my favourite fish but i dont seem to catch them regulary

I know prawns are good my grandad uses them all the time on charlies he has a lovely 5lb + bream on them was a proper slab! lol.
how well do the carp go on the maggot?
i usualy use meat, corn, pellets and casters (sometimes a little hemp but shush haha)
