The following is an extract from the boston buzz web site. for the weekend just gone.

The week improved day on day and although we had to endure cool nights, daytime temperatures reached the mid-teens over the weekend, leading up to this next report. Sixteen hopefuls turned out for Saturday’s open match on Priory lakes where 9 double figure nets featured in one of the best matches here so far. Clayton Bowring drawing the same peg 115 as last week with a much better outcome this time out. He took 11 carp fishing hair rigged pellet a mere 12″ deep after seeing fish cruising just below the surface. A comfortable win then over Ray Pauley who fished the method feeder tight across to the island for 8 carp from peg 74, all those falling to hair-rigged meat, plus a couple taken from down the margins. George Gosling on peg 70 took 5 similar fish on the feeder with meat, and two down the margins for third place. Results: 1 Clayton Bowring 41lbs 3ozs; 2 Ray Pauley 38lbs 2ozs; 3 George Gosling 29lbs 10ozs; 4 Edgar Purnell 21lbs; 5 David Bell 19lbs 4ozs; 6 Nigel Winters 18lbs 3ozs.
