    dunno about now but i won a match last year on meat shallow hope this helps

        hi fished budlia on sunday it wo.s won with 80lbs 71.lbs 2nd 60lbs 3rd all,at 16mtrs tight on far bank or as tight to reeds on far side 3rd place had all fish shallow on banded pellet some had big fish on paste

            is paste allowed now then as when i fished a ,atch a couple of seasons back it was banned.

              its all on pellet banded you can ues your owen hookers but you have to buy fishery feed pellet you have to make paste from fishery pellets thay are high oil trout pellets he sells 1pound a bag not much in a bag

                  fished it last year and the pellet feeder done the damage tight over,couldnt realy fish long pole
                  as was blowing a bit but over 100lb won the match hope this helps a bit

                    If you have bare bank def throw the pellet feeder, won there last year with 90lb. caster shallow will catch you all sorts theres plenty of F1's to be caught doing that. you have a good depth in the edge to so you can catch late on down there

                      paste is banned at Astwood. I won last year with 60lb, on the feeder tight over, but you cant do it on all the pegs. F1's were less evident last season than in previous years.

                        Fished it last Sunday and I was the one with the 73lbs and 2nd place, caught every fish right up the far bank to some tree roots at 16.5m couldn't beg a bite anywhere else, caught mostly 5-7lb fish with some better ones, just hit and hold really! Red hydro soon tamed the beasts
