  • Any FREE fishing locations??l

    Hi all,

How does the forum feel about listing all known local fishing locations that are entirely FREE to fish, also listing what you have caught as a loacation guide.

Loacation, brief description of where ie:-

    River Avon, Rugby, Warwickshire

Location - Environment Agency Avon Mill Fishery. Fishing from right bank on island created by high relief channel 655m

    Species - Chub, Dace

Directions - On B4112 Newbold Road close to junction with A426. Access over footbridge

As a newbie to fishing it would be great to have a fishermans guide to free locations as the setup costs are enough without spending on day tickets and several club memberships etc.

Any loacation post would help us all for a bit of freebie catching.
Personally does anyone know of any near the de12 area measham.

          I found this website:
Free Fishing|Places|No Day Ticket|UK|Pike|Carp|Coarse|Game|Dofreefishing.com| Advertising|UK Directory of free fishing
There's not loads of places listed, but there's the one you mention in your post and a few others as well.

I think it is an excellent idea to have such a listing. The best place for it is here in the Venue Listing section.

No never had a problem there or at St Georges mate. Mind you I am 6ft 2 and 17 stone so it might put a few people off?

Tench fishing used to be great down there. Have not fished it in years though.
