    Hi Reecebrad
Don't know what your Budget is ?
My advice would be if you intend to actually use the Pin ,Don't buy Used .
Glasgow Angling Centre sell some Brilliant Centerpins
I use a Model Called the Severn ,it is Fantastic
Hollysdad on here got 1 @ Christmas for his dad on my recommendation .
    He said he loves it
Have a look see what you think ?
    IMHO It's Brilliant & great value @ under £60

Hi Col, hoping the line will flow easier of the reel. Using a closed face at the moment which are good for windy days but always wanted to give one a go. Im certainly not an expert but local river is full of quality roach and it flows quite slow. Only 3-4ft deep at the moment so will probably try and use a float around 8 no4. 4lb main line and 2lb bottom size 18 to 20 depending how they are biting but their not shy at the moment. Will this reel free spin with a float of this size. Dont want to spend a fortune at first if i enjoy it i may upgrade in the future if need be. its only £35 in chapmans

Reece the model that i have recommended was the wide Severn .
I can vouch for that along with others that have them
I see Chapmans have the Wide Wensum in Stock £25 go for that mate it will be perfect 2 months ago they were £70
        Great reel
only load between 50 & 70 mts of line on it

if you have gone for the Slim Version only load about 50mtrs of line on it .
            Great way of Fishing
I learned to use a pin about 50 years ago on 1st of all the River Blythe ,@ Coleshill .
I was taught by a man called Jack Phillips he was the Crack angler in Reynold Chains AC
I loved it ,& it is a method that i have made a point of doing every season
To me it epitomises every thing to do with Float fishing it's like stepping back in time
The pleasure i get from it is immeasurable
I have caught some amazing bags of Fish from all types of Rivers ,
if i i only had 1 day left to Fish the pin would be my choice
Take your time don't rush things & you will be fine enjoy yourself
If i can hep in any way pm me & if i can help i will
Don't try to use Silly light floats 7 no 4 is a good place to start
