  • wanted: top quality telescopic/travel rod

    Hi guys,
Is anyone selling a top quality telescopic/travel rod to keep in the car while I'm on my travels? I'm after shimano or similar top brand. It can be a spinning rod,but would need to be at least 8 or 9'. I was in ipswich on business the other day and spotted a shoal of massive mullet, which I would have had a pop at if I'd had a travel rod with me. Next time they shall be mine! Oh yes!
What have you? Paypal waiting ;-)

    Paul,
Get yourself a multi-sectioned travel Avon rod. That'll do the trick for those grey ghosts

Sell your home and get yourself one of those Hardy Smuggler rods !!

Paul, what you want is a D.A.M. Andy little new dimension 2.5lb tele carp. The most versatile rod I"ve ever come accross, from big stick/chubber to 3oz lead, floater fishing to live/small deadbating.
The bad news is they are as rare as rocking horse poo.
The good news is you have a pm regarding the next best thing.
Take nothing but photographs, leave nothing but footprints.

They were probably Dace, you always did have problems with fish identification. a byproduct of never getting the time to go fishing

If you really want to go telescopic have a look out for the John Wilson Nomad range. Had both the float and Avon versions at one time and never seen such a nice action on a telescopic before or since.
