    Browning Black Magic (whats it worth please)

    Hi all,

    I have a Browning Black magic "Unlimited" pole......

    I genuinely would like to know an idea of value before listing it up for sale.

    It was purchased for "line to hand" fishing over in Ireland, shortly after purchase we stopped going over to the Emerald Isle... the pole has been used in the UK probably 3 times for margin work since!!!!

    The pole comes at just under 11mtrs - 10.60m i think.

    2 x extensions were also purchased for it.... taking pole up to 13mtrs.

    It comes complete with 4 top kits, a cupping kit & bag.

    The actual pole is in very clean condition, no marks chips or damage*

    *Apart from the 9mtr section, the joint had a 1inch split running up the carbon..... this has since been pro repaired by placing a carbon sleeve inside the joint (as all joints are put in NOT put over the repair cant even be noticed)

    Any idea of a value would be great..... i have done the norm like look on ebay / google but they dont seem to come up often (or at all of late)

    Any advice would be great thanks.

      What did you pay for it and what do you think you want for it are probably more important questions.... they are quite rare (but so are the people who might want one!)

        Si I know what you mean by the above...... but its a hard one!!

        The pole cost me around £300.00 the extensions were just over £100.00 each and the extra kits were £50.00 each if my memory serves me correct, as it was purchased 7/8 years ago.

        I have not got a clue how to price such an item, I would have thought it would have more use as a UK margin pole now that Ireland techniques are more conventional.

            Sorry A.B sold it on ebay a couple of weeks ago.

            I noticed a Talk Angling forum member selling another B.M.Unlimited on here a few days back..... wanting £150.00 if my memory serves me right??

              Mint pole only used six times for canal fishing, 3 tops elasticated with preston solids No 5, 6 and a doubled 6.
              No cracks or chips, joint still a bit stiff from lack of use.

              £150, collection or localish meet.
