  • Kippax Park Knock Up

The open regulars who normally fill the first lake (Lapwing) are away this saturday, so there's no open on & I've got half the lake set aside for a knock up. Draw at 8.45, fish 10 to 4pm. The lake is mainly stocked with ide and carp, with mirrors and commons from 1lb to 7lbs making up most of the winning weights, & backup weights are usually not far off the pace (I weighed in 37lbs 2 weeks ago and had the 2nd lowest weight!).

Keepnets and landing net head supplied. Fishery feed pellets only, any you like on the hook. Maggot for the ide, but they also munch corn. Pellet, corn & paste for the carp - there are skimmers, small barbel, roach etc in there but not enough to fish for specifically.

Post below or if you're reading this friday evening, just turn up in the morning.

Don't know what you mean Mr Rugbystar, it was booked for the usual saturday open match (every saturday is on Lapwing), and there's not enough of the open regulars about for the open to run as it usually does, so I'm getting this knock up arranged. Some of them are fishing in the County Champs regional finals (talented anglers they are!), & some are going North to catch some McBream.

Anyone's welcome, its just like a KP open except its £15 all in instead of the usual £20 & we'll probably have enough room for peg 1 - miss 1 (or peg 2 miss 1), which will mean more bites .

Wednesdays weights were pretty good given that the wind was nasty & the weather was a bit cool. 58lbs won it, 53lbs 2nd and 48lbs 3rd.

Still plenty of room for this one.

didnt get enough to run this as a knock up, but thankfully there's a few wanting to fish the open as usual, so normal KP open times & pools apply, draw at 11am prompt & £20 all-in.

its a great venue all year around, the best thing is that any peg can win the match with good nets of ide 30 to 50lb also good nets of carp to 100 lb
