Fishing4life is proud and happy to announce the inaugural Cancer Support Open in aid of Cancer Research UK, Macmillan and Marie Curie to be held at Warwickshire’s Makins Fishery on Thursday 16 June 2011.
The event, which features a 120 peg open match, aims to raise thousands of pounds in much needed funds for these three great charities.
The match itself, which will see the winner walk away with a clutch of great prizes as well as the prestigious title of 2011 Cancer Support Open Champion, will be open to all anglers and promises to offer a memorable day’s sport.
Tickets for the match, which go on sale soon, will be £15 each. However, a condition of entry is that all participants raise a minimum of £100 individual sponsorship each.
100% of all money raised through tickets and sponsorship will be going straight to the supported charities with all costs being met by the organisers and supporters themselves.
A website will be going live once tickets go on sale. For any enquiries, including sponsoring or supporting the event, please email [email protected]
Please look out for further announcements online and in the press.
