  • hi.

hi all, my name is gordo, i am 46years old and i live in the oxfordshire area.middlesbrough lad at heart moved here to oxfordshire some 7 years ago.
having been into fishing for a couple of years now i would like to try and improve as i dont think i am getting very far under my own resources.
hoping to learn more from this forum.
maybe getting together with some of you and having a couple of sessions on a bank.
i live in a small village and there aint many people i know that go fishing.
i like to fish rivers and commercials, although i dont go in for all the carping that is very popular these days.
i do it for the pleasure but would like to step up.
first i need to improve, wether this forum can help me only time will tell.
i really do need all the help i can get.
i am mad about fishing and yet frustrated as i dont think i am very good.
im afraid i cant offer you much help myself unless you need tips in plastering.
look forward to sharing a happy forum with you all.

              gordo welcome to talk angling

I see above you say your getting frustrated with your fishing, maybe your trying too hard, its easy to get caught up in all the methods and stray away from the basics
You have come to the right place to pick up few pointers and hopefully put you on the right track,
The only issue I can see is you will have to put up with the guys here most of them are just plain nuts It will take some getting used to

              Have fun

were do you live barbelslayer.thats one fish i would like to catch a barbel, never have yet, but hopefully i have plenty of time.
perhaps we can arrange to meet up for a session on a river or puddle.
prefer the rivers myself as i feel the puiddles are becoming to overstocked in a lot of fisheries.
