  • Hi Simon

Match at Geary's Saturday fished really well - everyone returning good weights of skimmers. There were scores of back up weights in the middle teens and the leading weights were as follows.

    Peg 10 - 36.4.0
    Peg 30 - 36.1.0
    Peg 6 - 27.0.0
    Peg 29 24.0.0
    Peg 28 22.0.0

The winning weight was Micro and expander pellet with the other top weights feeding groundbait, pinkeys and maggot hook bait. The majority of weights being caught on pole at 12 to 16 metres. Carp didn't figure much in the match with only the odd fish showing, however I don't believe too many of the regular anglers targeted the carp knowing it was too much of a risk at this time of year.

I hope this helps - Good luck with your team and individual match.
